The Mission Drive-In on the Southside was the last drive-in theatre in San Antonio to go dark. But in May of 2001, the drive-in was reopened by Cinemark and continued through 2003 with four screens in service.
Located at Roosevelt Avenue and VFW Boulevard, the facility is now owned by the City of San Antonio. The “Mission Marquess Plaza” operates as an arts and cultural center with movies and outdoor events for all to enjoy.
