Mike Tyson is jumping into a cage match, but instead of it being in a ring, it will be in the middle of the ocean.

The former heavyweight champ will be facing off against a shark.

Discovery announced a Shark Week special - “Tyson Vs. Jaws: Rumble on the Reef.”

The show will air Aug. 9 at 8 p.m., Entertainment Weekly reported.

Discovery is calling it a “main event” and an “ultimate showdown.” Tyson promises that “someone is going to get bit” alluding to his famous 1997 fight against Evander Holyfield where Tyson bit a chunk of Holyfield’s ear off.

Tyson said in a statement about the saltwater stunt, “I equate this with overcoming fears I still deal with in life.”

“I equate this with overcoming my fear of getting back into the ring at 54 years old,” Tyson continued, according to Entertainment Weekly. “I learned from this experience doing Shark Week that whatever intimidates me, I am still able to step up to the challenge of overcoming anything that would prevent me from accomplishing my life’s mission of reaching my highest potential in life and bringing me closer to God.”

Earlier this month Tyson was seen assembling a steel cage on a Los Angeles beach, TMZ reported. But the entertainment gossip site did not know why the fighter was there at the time, but speculated, “It almost seems like a promo for Shark Week.”
